Tom Ritchey has extensive experience in off-road riding. When he designed the Ultra in the 1980s, he knew it would attract cyclists looking for specific handling characteristics in that terrain. The latest version of the Ultra is a great example of timeless design, occupying a unique space between cross-country and enduro cyclists.
With a 120 mm Boost fork, the Ultra is a versatile frame that can accommodate 29″ or 27.5″ wheels. Use 29″ wheels for aggressive XC or 27.5+ for limitless shredding. It’s a master of the trails, sturdy and durable.
It is compatible with 27.5 x 2.8 and 29 x 2.4 tires, has internal routing for a dropper post, and the rear axle is Boost 148×12.
